It has been a busy two weeks and I hope you all are ready for a great set of links. First up is discussion about Instagram’s new icon & UI. There has been a lot of reaction to the logo, which is typical, but I am always curious to see how users react to a new app icon. Especially since we are in the midst of massively redesigning FlightBag’s icon.

1. Designing a New Look for Instagram, Inspired by the Community
I am not a fan of the new icon background, though I do like the flatness of logo as well as the internal UI changes they made. They stripped color and focused upon the core, the photographs.
