i’ve been working on bringing in some footage from some dv tapes. it’s pretty craptastic of a product – or at least the computer and external hd that I am using are. the hard drive keeps “sleeping” (never buy an external seagate drive) and FCE keeps crashing. i’ve been looking for a solution online to streamline the dv cassette capture and export process – but with minimal luck. if you don’t want to do any editing, save adding a video title, then where are the products that let you plop in a tape and spit out a finished .mov file?
